Mount Calvary Baptist Church

Pastor Dave, Melody & Adelyn Cloer

Rev. David F. Cloer II is a native of Winston-Salem, NC and grew up in the Walkertown area all of his childhood.  He was saved at an early age at the end of a puppet show.  He completed the AWANA program and received his citation.  While in high school at youth group he felt like God had a special plan for his life possibly in full time Christian ministry.  David started dating Melody in high school and they enjoyed attending youth group together.  After graduating high school, they served as youth leaders in their youth group for 2 years.  They attended college at UNCG.  David later felt like God wanted him to go to Bible college so he enrolled at Piedmont Bible College.  They were married in 2000.

David was excited to be offered a position as a part time Youth Pastor in Hamptonville, NC.  He also served as the Youth Director of their association.  He so enjoyed serving God and working with the children, teens, and seniors.  The teens were his passion as he knew how important that time of life was to him.  He became ordained, licensed and graduated from PBC with a Bachelor’s degree in Bible with a Youth Ministry concentration in 2004.

David was excited to be offered a full time position as a Youth Pastor in Willow Spring, NC.  He was also able to serve with the children, seniors, and Sr. Pastor and was made the Associate Pastor.  David and Melody had their first daughter Faith in 2008 and she went to be with the Lord shortly after she was born.  They were also blessed with their second daughter Adelyn in 2009.  God had worked in so many miraculous ways.  David felt like things were going well but felt like God wanted him to fully surrender to His will.

In 2014 David was excited to be offered a full time position as a Sr. Pastor in Belews Creek, NC and we are excited God brought him here to Mount Calvary!  David also serves on the Board for Adventure Camp for Christ and assists with Children of the Heart special needs ministry.

Youth Pastor

In September, 2017, Mount Calvary Baptist Church entered a season of transition and transformation. We believe that God is, right now, preparing a youth pastor to lead our youth for many years to come. Please be in prayer as we search.
